— How to install Jenkins on Ubuntu 14.04–

1.
wget -q -O – https://pkg.jenkins.io/debian/jenkins.io.key | sudo apt-key add –
or
sudo curl -O http://pkg.jenkins-ci.org/debian/jenkins-ci.org.key
apt-key add jenkins-ci.org.key

2. sudo sh -c ‘echo deb http://pkg.jenkins.io/debian-stable binary/ > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jenkins.list’
3. apt-get update && apt-get upgrade -y

4. apt-get -y install jenkins

—-> nano /etc/default/jenkins
HTTP_PORT=8081
5. sudo service jenkins restart
6. copy the password from cat /var/lib/jenkins/secrets/initialAdminPassword

7. Install Plugins in Jenkins
–> Login to Jenkins dashboard and navigate to Manage Jenkins >> Manage Plugins >> Available Tab and select the plugins to install
